New Music Videos

Not much today, couple new music videos that just came out about last week or so. First one is Against Me!'s Borne On The FM Waves Of The Heart featuring Teagan Quin of 'Teagan and Sara.'

Next one is Rise Against's first single Re-Education (Through Labor) off their soon to be released album "Appeal To Reason", looks like they're going for the same thing back to the Give It All video. I only just noticed that both bands have "Against" is both names.

I can't find a copy of this video that hasn't disabled the embedding so here

Sunday Hangovers...(With Links)

The dreaded headache that comes after a night of too much booz'in. Still have not eaten yet and its about 3 o'clock in the afternoon but from what I can remember from last night we did hit Vesta Lunch, the most awesomest place to go to when you're drunk, its 3 in the morning and need something to eat that isn't McDonalds.

They're a 24 hour place and has about any type of sandwich a diner should have. I believe I had the grilled cheese.
So this is just a really tiring Sunday(is tiring a word?) where you're want to sleep but just can't. Listening to Jawbreaker's Etc. album, not too loud, an easy listening band, perfect for a hangover. Also checking on updates on my list of websites, one I want to point out.

Sean Phillips' blog, the man that drew Marvel Zombies, Criminal and many others. Now him and Ed 'The Motherfuck'in Criminal' Brubaker(yeah, I nicknamed him that) are starting a new project INCOGNITO. The duel have been bringing the shit ever since Sleeper(which is now in development with Tom Cruise being in it and Tim Burton, and since its Hollywood too bad Ed will 0% involvement). Criminal is brilliant, though I haven't read the last 2 or 3 issues yet, if you read comics and not reading Criminal you're probably a terrorist and stupid, so get on and buy it. Its awesome, its noir, Sean Phillip's covers are beautiful on these, whats not to love about Criminal. INCOGNITO should be no different, another noir-type story with villains! Just from these teaser shots of these first two pages already look great, there's a nice little interview talking about it and other stuff Brubaker's done. So come Decemeber when INCOGNITO comes out, it will be the first comicbook review here.

Thats a wrap! And I'm not so hungover now!

Eleven Degrees of Separation

So I was listening to M.I.A's Paper Planes on the radio last night, it's been getting high rotation ever since Pineapple Express and I realized how many songs and albums I've encountered over the ends that the involve flying or the word "paper". So here is how all these artists are connected to each other:

Rise Against's Siren Song Of The Counter Culture has a track called "Paper Wings"

Hostage Life's first full length CD is named "Walking Papers"

One of Yellowcard's albums has a track which is same as the album name "Paper Walls"

Back to M.I.A's huge single "Paper Planes"

Lastly an album that hasn't been "dropped" yet, T.I.'s "Paper Trail"

And that is how Eleven Degrees of Separation is played people, see ya next time.

Fuckin Finally Eh!

Finally getting around to posting on this blog. Past 2 weeks have been a bit out of control, trying to fit into this shitty, school/working at Blockbuster schedule.

Finally got this blog created with my contributor, co-everything Jawrj. (A bit of a bio post will come soon.)

Finally will post those CNE pics that George has been buggin me about.

Before that though, just want to say what we eventually want to turn this blog into. We've been talking about doing some video additions to our written posts. We've got a Youtube channel that we'll be linking to, to make shit easier. We've also considered doing a podcast, where we'll talk about whatever is on our mind. From reviews to news. Lastly, I thought of linking a flicker account to show you guys pictures that relate to the shit we ramble on about here, but fuck if I know if any of these things will get done.

Quick Reviews - Joe Strummer: The Future Is Unwritten

Alright kidos, George here again(at least 'til Hugo makes his debut post). Every now and again I will be doing "Quick Reviews" on movies and shows I've recently watched, they will be short because I can't really write worth a shit without rambling on into nothingness like right now. So let's get it started!

-Joe Strummer: The Future Is Unwritten-
So the last post I mentioned buying the soundtrack, this weekend I rented it. The Future Is Unwritten uses old recordings of Strummer's radio show to tell the story of his life and interviews around a campfire from people like John Cusack, Steve Buscemi to Strummer's oldest friends he used to squat with in run down houses in London. Its a really interesting look at Strummer growing up and the formation of The Clash, but also sad seeing how the band ended. When Matt Fraction(Marvel Comics writer) came to town for the FanExpo, he talked to me a bit about how The Clash's first two albums was their best stuff and should have ended it there(something to that extend anyway, don't quote me on that). After watching this doc i kinda see what he means, though I argue that London Calling stands side-by-side with the first two. The point is you see stuff you never knew about Joe Strummer, some stuff I kinda didn't want to know but also a lot I did. Though I'm not a huge Clash fan, more so The Mescaleros(which is covered in the doc), check out The Future Is Unwritten if you're a Clash fan or if you're just interested in general about Joe Strummer himself or any of his projects.
Looks like I didn't keep it short or avoid ramblings, oh well.

See Ya Next Time!

Beginning

Welcome to the "Fuck If I Know" blog!

Whats this blog about you ask? Fuck, if I know! Clever huh?
Introducing your hosts myself George[jawrj], I enjoy different genres of punk so most of my postshave something to do with music. And my partner in crime, the creator of "Fuck If I Know", Hugo[hyoo-goh] who will be telling you about what films you should be watching and what's a pile of turd! We'll be bringing you the daily happenings of our twenty-some year old lives, reviews on products, food, bars and whatever the fuck else there is!

So to begin, today we went to The CNE(Canada National Exhibition) on its final day of the summer. Spent a lot of time in the Food Building eating different types of food and I got myself the soundtrack to the Joe Strummer Documentary "The Future Is Unwritten" for only 5 bucks!(see, music related already...somewhat) This would be much better with visuals, hopefully Hugo will be posting them up soon.

Laters!
